Your road trip begins in elegant San Sebastián. Start the day with a stroll along the iconic Playa de la Concha, wander through the lively lanes of the Parte Vieja, and take in spectacular views from the summits of Monte Igueldo and Monte Urgull. Then set off on an unforgettable drive along the wild, rugged coastline. Following the scenic N634 via Igeldo, you’ll pass through charming fishing villages. Soak up the maritime atmosphere in Orio, pause in the surfer’s haven of Zarautz, and sample the local Txakoli wine in the picture-perfect town of Getaria. Continuing via Arroa Bekoa and Deba, you’ll approach the dramatic Flysch cliffs. Immerse yourself in wine culture at Bodegas Franco-Españolas and admire the imposing Co-Cathedral of Santa María de la Redonda. Continue along the River Ebro, passing through charming places such as Recajo, Ausejo and historic Calahorra, where Tierra Rapaz makes for an enjoyable stop. Following the NA-134, the route takes you past Milagro and Cadreita towards the rugged beauty of the Bardenas Reales near Arguedas. This semi-desert landscape, with its striking rock formations, is an absolute highlight. The journey then heads north, stopping at the fairy-tale town of Olite with its royal palace – a perfect photo opportunity.
